'...ambiguous loss — really making space for the right gentle questions, the quiet responses, everything that’s said through silence...'

I haven't come across this term before. The concept does make sense.

I agree with you; we do need to pay more attention to and have conversations regarding such types of losses, in order to properly heal and move forward.

Nikki, thank you for sharing your heart, and how your Dad’s story is bringing you to the unspoken places of grief. I feel you. I’m also feeling deep losses for things that have changed. Deaths without dying can leave a hole, too.

You have always been a light, and a wise truth teller. I remember when we first met. I thought to myself, “She is so young to be so wise. What an intuitive soul.” So, it comes as no surprise that you are taking this spiritual teaching path. You are already a teacher… love you, old friend…

Barbara! Thank you so much for reading, and sharing your thoughts. <3 "Deaths without dying can leave a hole, too." This one hit home. I'm so sorry for your losses, and the things that have changed. I hope you are finding some comfort.

I love hearing your memories!! I am so grateul for your words. With your permission, I might use some of them on my future website, so potential clients know a little more about me. :) I love you, too! Peace, dear one.

Oh Nikki. This touches me on several levels at once.. As the daughter who experienced this, your beautiful, close-in writing brings it all back. The loss and frustration. I can feel it with you. As the mother now recovering from a mini stroke myself, I can sense- through you - what my children are going through. . As your friend, knowing your tender heart, I can offer a touch. A note. As a companion on the journey I think spiritual direction is such a good- dare I say, a holy — path for you. You are, in many ways, already doing this work for some time now. In your teaching and this sort of uplifting and reflective writing. ❤️🌞✋

Amy, thank you so much for your words. I already feel less alone.

And thank you so much for blessing my path!! I am so honored to have studied with you these past twelve (!) years with hopefully more to come. You have helped me reframe my worldview, to one that draws huge circles around angels, miracles, and the Divine in everything. I know a lot of people are looking for the same, and I hope I can gently walk beside them as they discover this for themselves. I get very, very excited when I think about this!

I have been thinking of and praying for you. <3 Sending love.
